Pronounced, wall-duh-bee.

One fine day, just a short while back, my one very close friend was pondering the quite bare dining room wall while showing me a Pinterest post of a decorated wall in some random person’s house, and says to me, “That’s how I want my wallduhbe.” She is a master concatenater.

It was a Pottery Barnish, World Marketey, Crate & Barrelmabob, MicHobby-MichLobby wall of assorted, well-organized bric-a-brac. Challenge accepted! While I knew I could come up with much of what I needed to create not just a collage of stuff, but a true designer masterpiece, there was one major hurdle. In the center of the Pinterest picture there was what appeared to be a piece of bleached ocean driftwood. Ocean driftwood can be very hard to come by in Northern Illinois. There are, however, piles of old, rotting stumps in the backyard from that damn tree that was cut down years ago.

Voilà!
